Description

Light-up Superhero Masks

Taught by Corinne Okada Takara

What special skills do you have as a Maker or a collaborator? Design a light-up superhero mask that reflects these talents. You and your mom will light up your unique masks by creating simple circuits using copper tape, pipe cleaners, LED lights, coin cell batteries, and fun decorative materials.

Make-HER workshops are open to girls aged 8 - 12 and their mothers (or other adult female mentors). Our #LadyMaker educators have designed content specifically for this age group. Therefore the workshops are not appropriate for those under age eight, please no younger siblings. You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance through this site. Those who do not show without cancellation will be prevented from registering for subsequent Make-HER workshops.

Each workshop requires a separate registration. Each registration reserves spots for both you and your daughter. If you have more than one daughter aged 8-12, please complete only ONE registration, enter both daughters' first names in the name field, and list the younger daughter's age when asked. Please do not register friends for this mother/daughter program.
